This is not a compromise blend. Fresh Roasted Coffee's USDA Organic Peruvian Half Caf envipods combine two coffees that each stand on their own: our Fair Trade, organic Peru and our organic Peru Water Decaf, blended 50/50 for a cup with chocolate, almond, and orange notes that is refreshing, smooth, and genuinely flavorful. Both halves are organically farmed with no synthetic chemicals from cherry to cup. The decaf half is water processed, so caffeine is removed without solvents or harsh compounds. Fair Trade certified, OU Kosher, and third-party tested for mold, mycotoxins, and pesticides. Brewed in a plastic-free, BPI-certified commercially compostable pod.
Tasting Notes

Why Both Halves of This Blend Matter
Most half caf blends pair specialty coffee with whatever decaf is available. This one starts with two Peruvian coffees from the same sourcing standard, which means the flavor profile holds together rather than pulling in different directions. The chocolate, almond, and orange notes come through cleanly because both coffees were grown organically, processed carefully, and decaffeinated without solvents. There's no masking happening here. Both halves were good enough to sell on their own, and together they're better for what this blend is meant to do.

Organic certification covers the farming side: no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. The water process decaffeination covers the processing side: no chemical solvents used to strip the caffeine from the decaf half of this blend. Most half cafs can only claim one or the other. This one covers both, which means no synthetic chemicals touch these beans at any point in the supply chain.

The caffeinated half of this blend carries Fair Trade certification in addition to USDA Organic, meaning price floors are guaranteed for the farmers who grew it regardless of commodity market conditions. Both certifications are independently audited. The organic Peru Water Decaf is certified organic through the same supply chain standards, with water process decaffeination as the natural extension of that commitment.
