"First time trying this blend and it didn’t disappoint."
"Roasted green beans to a sl dark roast. Very good cup! Blended with some Sumatran - to give them a little more dark chocolate notes = yum."
"Flavor is great, roasts really nice"
"Roasted to just Dark. Deep & Very Rich, Smooth - Excellent! This is now one of my favorites!"
"Once I figured out how to roast the beans in my new SR800, this coffee flavor is great and is low in acidity. I typically like the more sweeter flavored coffees such as Guatemala Antigua, but this one is about as good as that with more earthy notes. The beans were pretty uniform in size and roasted evenly throughout. The packaging it came in was very well protected and sealed to keep the freshness sealed. Overall a good, quality purchase."
"deep medium or dark roasted, blend with Java for more complex"
"I have ordered this product for years. Absolutely love this coffee, and will continue to buy it. My Favorite!"
"Bali Blue Moon were one of my top 3 beans when I would order FRC pre-roasted coffee based on price point versus quality, and the home roast experience doesn’t disappoint either. I’ve tried multiple roast profiles with and without an extension tube for varied heat/fan, and varying from city+ to full city and Vienna profiles. I’ve like it in each in different ways. I find that lighter roast is better for a less intense espresso but feels a bit hollow in coffee, whereas full city is the crowd pleaser for both and Vienna is good for a strong espresso with bite, but overpowers in coffee for our tastes. I’m not sophisticated enough to talk about flavor profiles, but caffeine content is solid and I would avoid drinking this coffee at night as a double shot is more than enough to keep me going through the morning. As a final, special request, please give us the Jamaica blue mountain blend in green coffee!!"
"Challenging bean to roast but one of my favorite. I had to roast a few profiles before finding this bean's true potential. For this bean I use my longest total roast time by far. If you roast too short or too climb too fast you get flavors of: wet earth, cardboard, tobacco. Roast it long and slow you get flavors of complex spice, nutmeg, refined syrup, baking chocolate, caramel. The bean maintains full body, complex roastiness, every sip is awesome. The spice characteristics are the magic. My favorite profile for this been: total roast time 16:20 min, ending at 440F. 6 minutes to 300F to dry out the bean, 6 min from 300F to 1st crack, 4 min from 1st to 2nd crack, end 20 seconds into 2nd crack, end temperature 440F. The other key to this roast profile is letting it rest pretty long. I'm impatient, so I get it, but let it rest for 7 days before brewing. Flavors are muted and 1 dimensional if you wait less than 3 days. Flavors peak at 7 days, but some people say even longer."
