About

The Icosa Brewhouse Arctic Cold Brew Coffee System

An incredibly easy, hands-off way to make smooth, refreshing cold brew coffee. Unlike hot water, cold water extracts flavor from your favorite coffee beans through a slower process and leaves the bitter oils and fatty acids behind. The result is a beautifully balanced brew of concentrated coffee.

Loved by coffee enthusiasts and beginners alike, the Arctic continues to change the way people brew cold brew coffee at home thanks to its ingenious, elegant design.

The Arctic was designed with equal elements of function and form. It's sleek and simple to use so you can easily add it into your everyday coffee routine. The carafe is made of 100% borosilicate glass and the Micron Filter is laser cut with tiny holes, 200 microns in diameter, to keep coarse coffee particles from leeching into your brew. Each feature was chosen to enhance the entire coffee-making process, from the simplicity of brewing to enjoying the smooth taste in every cup.

  • Material: Handcrafted borosilicate Glass
  • Dimensions: 196mm tall • 147mm diameter • 68 mm rim diameter
  • Weight: 430 grams
  • Volume: ~1560mL up to rim

Place 15 tbsp (~3oz/85g) of coarse ground coffee into the Micron Filter. Fill the carafe to the 500ml line with cold filtered water and place the filter into the carafe. Then slowly pour water over the grounds to ensure all of the grounds are soaked thoroughly. Fill the carafe until a 1:14 coffee-to-water ratio is reached (~42.3oz/1200mL of water). For better results, only pour the water into the carafe through the grounds (you'll need some patience for this). Once the carafe is filled with water, stir the grounds well to ensure all the grounds are thoroughly soaked.

Brewing takes 12 to 24 hours depending on the strength you desire. To maximize the extraction of flavor, stir the grounds occasionally during the brewing process. When coffee is brewed to your desired strength, remove the filter and discard the grounds when the brew is to your taste. Keep your brew in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
