We achieve a much richer and more intense profile by roasting the beans to a Medium-Dark, but we're careful to preserve the signature sweet and bright citrus notes that make Tarrazu so special.

My Go-to

"I have tried a slew of Fresh Roasted Coffees' varieties in the past 3 years and have settled on the Costa Rican Tarrazuas my go-to coffee. I use an Aero-Press to make coffee. Without a doubt I get a deeply flavorful consistent brew almost 100% of the time. I enjoy the mix of a dark roast and full body, but without the strong bitterness one would normally associate with a dark roast. Although I prefer the Tarrazu I also enjoy most of your coffees from Central America and Mexico. Nothing like sitting outside on a cool Maine morning sipping my way through the start of the day. I appreciate the quality of your product and your approach to the art of good coffee. I have made a coffee drinker out of my wife too. Many thanks."

Amazing coffee

"The bag I just ordered of this coffee was perfect! It was medium-dark and bold and smooth at the same time. In the past I have ordered this coffee, and I have found that it was a little too dark. Now however, it was spot on for my taste. I urge FRC to continue roasting this coffee to the medium dark level it did for my most recent order. Coincidently, I noticed in the description notes for this coffee, it is described as being a medium dark roast, whereas before it was described as being a dark roast only. FRC, please continue to roast it medium dark like you just did!"
