Our Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee possesses an inherently intense flavor with peaks of bright acidity and depths of sweet honey and chocolate. The body of Costa Rican Tarrazu is considered medium, but this famous coffee region does not lack for flavor and produces an incredibly satisfying cup.

In a spectacular region of Costa Rica known as the "Land of the Saints", farmers work tirelessly to care for this beautiful Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee. The main suppliers of this Costa Rican coffee represent small micro mills and traditional coops, ensuring only the highest quality cherries are obtained for production of this authentic Tarrazu coffee.

During the growth, harvest, and processing of these coffee beans, all coffee pickers and producers are supplied with insurance, medical services, housing, and transportation to the farming facilities.

"We got the box at the post office, smelled it through the cardboard and were already excited. Once we got it home, we opened that box like a kid at Christmas and immediately our eyes rolled back into our head with the aroma. The smell here didn't even do it justice once we opened the bag. We literally had our noses right in there eager to make a cup of coffee... so we did.... at 530 pm and MY GOODNESS was it pure bliss. The flavor is rich and elegant. You can taste the sweetness of the honey and chocolate but still that beautiful coffee flavor shines through. We bought 2 lbs of this and we have less than half (were junkies.... i know). SO FREAKING GOOD and SO FRESH!"

"I have been faithful to brand with whole bean Tarrazu coffee. First, they reduced the bag size. Second, they drastically raised the price. Third, they stopped offering meaningful discounts. I had to change. After an extensive search, I found FRC. The everyday price is better. The size of the bag is larger. The coffee tastes better. This is my new coffee."

Over the years, I've been cycling through several Fresh Roasted bolder flavors, and have finally landed on what tastes the best to me, which is a bold taste but not so overboard that it resembles some of those horrid earlier Starbuck's flavor. "My usual organic Sidamo is out of stock so I tried Tarrazu as alternative. It is a significant downgrade. I mainly make cappuccino and the Tarrazu is obviously more bitter. Even after adjusting grind size, extraction ratio, it is just not my type of coffee."
