Organic Sumatra - Unroasted Coffee Beans

Our Organic Sumatra beans are considered to be among the region's finest. This is a staple of coffee shops across the country. Sumatran coffee is known for its smooth chocolate flavor with earthy undertones. This is also a great coffee for those who prefer a coffee with mild acidity.

The coop that produces this remarkable coffee is overseen by a majority of women and is made up of 890 growers and members. The relentless dedication to quality coffee and organic farming has made this coop one of the largest and most experienced coffee-producing cooperatives in Northern Sumatra. Attaining the organic certification in 2012, the coop leaders utilize the organic premiums to fund health and education programs to support the local community.
