Italian Roast Artisan Blend

Dark Roast with a bold, heavy body. Cupping Notes of red fruits, with a dense, bittersweet body.

Italian Roast Espresso is rich and tangy. This Italian Roast coffee has been carefully crafted to brew a delectable shot of espresso or a dark and heavy cup of drip coffee. This artisan blend Italian roast coffee is sure to please any dark roast lover's palate with notes of sweet red fruits throughout.

Tradition is extremely important in Italian culture. At the risk of upsetting someone’s Nonna, we decided to protect the original Italian conception of espresso. Our Italian Roast Espresso epitomizes the dense, deeply bittersweet “take a break and slow down before your crema settles” brew. These palate-blasting flavors and rich foam are the perfect accompaniment to reading the paper, escaping the hustle and bustle or truly just taking the time to remember what great coffee is all about.

Italian Roast Artisan Blend is made from a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans with no additives, artificial flavors or preservatives. OU Kosher certified and produced in an SQF-certified facility.

At Fresh Roasted Coffee, we're pioneering the future of coffee. Our advanced, eco-friendly roasters unlock superior flavor in every bean while consuming less fuel and producing fewer emissions. In 2024, we're taking our commitment a step further. The launch of our new solar array will position us as one of the cleanest commercial roasters in the nation, proving that the most delicious coffee can also be the most sustainable.

Excellent Beans!

"I'm new to Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC. And, I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon this outstanding company. I'm a fan of dark to medium Italian style coffee. I make my coffees mainly using my espresso set up but occasionally using pour over. The FRC Italian roast is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The shots I pull with these beans are consistently delicious, well balanced, and with nice amount of roasty flavor. The beans are excellent in milk drinks (e. g. , lattes and cappuccinos). The bean quality is terrific and they are very easy to use. I've been pulling amazingly beautiful shots. Time to order my 3rd bag!!!"

Good, dark coffee

"I like flavorful, strong, black coffee. This is the type of cuppa that makes you exclaim, "Now that's a darn good cup of joe!" to the room around you, whether there's anyone else near you or you're all alone. I enjoy all of the FRC's Espresso roasts I've tried, but I keep coming back to this - the original FRC blend I first ordered and tasted. In fact, this is the coffee that made me a repeat FRC customer (after unsuccessfully ordering from a few other places in my quest to find the perfect cup)."

Good coffee

"This is one of my go-to orders. It has a good flavor, even people who don't usually drink a dark roast seem to like it. Only 4 stars because the last batch tasted a little off from what it usually does."

SO GLAD WE FOUND FRESH ROASTED LLC!!

"We've been a customer of Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC for several years. Trying different blends a few months at a time, we've never been disappointed! Almost always ordering the largest bags once we've decided on a selection for a few months following, we find the combination of excellent roasting and value pricing, the perfect combination!!"

Yummy coffee

"Here is another dark roast that we recently tried with our espresso machine. We really liked the full flavor and no bitterness. Great as espresso only or latte. So far our favorite dark roast"

Great coffee

"One of the only blends bit my wife and I agree on."

Delicious!

"This is some good coffee. I usually brew a pot and even use it for espresso to add to the coffee for work. It's dark but has a smooth flavor and not burnt flavor like Starbucks."

Q&A

Lots of people say that dark roasts are not the best for espresso, but this is a dark roast called Italian espresso. Can someone help me understand this contradiction?
Classic Italian espressos are usually made from a blend of various types of Arabica and Robusta coffees taken to a dark roast and our recipe is no different. However, "espresso" is a drink or a preparation method if you'd prefer - not a roast. You can make espresso from single origin selections, light roasts, medium roasts, etc. We've tried some coffees as espresso and found that they were absolutely stellar! Some...well, not so much. Our organic Drago and Dark Nebula blends (in addition to Italian Espresso) were formulated to make delicious espresso and espresso-based drinks. Among the single origin selections, Indian Malabar and Dark Mexican, among others, make a tasty shot. To some extent, it comes down to your taste and what notes you're looking for.
Hello-Hoping to use these beans in my super automatic. However, the machine cannot take oily beans so I am wondering if these are oily. Thanks for any info you can provide.
Hello! These beans are relatively oily due to the dark roast. Customers looking for a bold flavor for espresso we suggest Drago, Anniversary Blend or Tiger & Dark Nebulas. However, customers who prefer a dark roast often blot the beans with a paper towel before running them through their machines. Hope this helps! Team FRC
