FRC Seriously Dark Decaf - Classic Pods

There are decaf people that like their coffee roasted on the darker side and then there are those that want a coffee that's seriously dark. These folks aren't kidding around when they say they want bold and black and they don't want the jitters! For those coffee lovers, we present our Seriously Dark Decaf coffee pods. It's exceptionally, extraordinarily, amazingly dark with notes of baker's chocolate and toasted walnut with a sweet finish. This FRC-exclusive artisan blend features coffee beans from South America.

  • Roast Level: Seriously Dark
  • Roast Body: Seriously Bold
  • Certifications: OU Kosher
  • Caffeine Level: Decaffeinated

Short on caffeine but long on flavor, Sugarcane* decaffeinated coffees (also known as EA Decaf or Natural Decaf) have a subtle sweet aroma thanks to the decaffeination process.

Fully caffeinated green coffee is steamed to remove the silver skin (the natural coating on coffee beans) and open the pores of the bean before it’s bathed in a fermented sugarcane compound called ethyl acetate that binds to and removes caffeine until the beans reach 97% decaffeination. After which, they’re dried and shipped to us to be roasted to perfection. The ethyl acetate produced in the sugarcane process can also be found in pastries, fruit, and wine.

*Does not contain sugar.

This single-serve coffee is compatible with many popular K-Cup® brewing systems, including 2.0, and K-Supreme®. Keurig, K-Cup, and K-Supreme are registered trademarks of Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC is neither affiliated with nor approved by Keurig Dr Pepper Inc.

Seriously Delicious Seriously Dark Coffee

"Once you try this coffee, you will be impressed by its flavor and how robust it is. The service for the delivery is great too."

John K. (5/5)

My new favorite brew!

"Just brewed a pot this morning! Enjoyed the aroma and dark smooth taste so much that we bought a load of fresh roasted k-cups for our office keurig. Seriously Dark is seriously good!"

David M. (5/5)

I have tried many supposedly

"I have tried many supposedly dark roast decaf coffees. All your dark roast decaf coffees far surpasses all of them. The smell of the coffee when it is brewing gets me going in the morning and I can't wait to get that first cup."

Irene S. (5/5)

Seriously dark seriously good!

"My husband is the decaf drinker and he says this is absolutely the best dark roast decaf he has ever had! He usually demands a Swiss Water method decaf but tried this and he said the flavor wins out."

Kelly A. (5/5)

Excellent, but not quite the same

"I love dark brews. I have enjoyed several different beans from FR and have for now settled on Seriously Dark as my daily go-to. So I decided to try the decaf for the occasional evenings when I want a dark cup. The Seriously Dark Decaf is good, but for some reason (perhaps my imagination?) it does not feel quite as tasty as the daytime variety. But still good!"

rick n. (4/5)

Taste is true to name.

"Even using more water per cup than suggested, I'm still very impressed and found what I'm looking for in a cup-a."

jerry p. (5/5)

Love it!

"I am cautious about my caffeine intake, but I also really love sipping on a coffee when I’m settling in at my desk for a project that will take a lot of focus. A great decaf is the perfect solution, and this is a great decaf! I recently ordered a sample size, whole bean, and I am very happy with it. My normal order is FRC French Roast, but I am also going to start keeping this stocked for times when I want less or no caffeine."

Megan M. (5/5)

Seriously Dark Decaf

"The decaf flavor is very good and bold!"

C P. (5/5)

Very tasty

"This did not look like tea after brewed. It looks like a nice dark coffee. I like that I can add my regular amount of cream without it becoming weak."

Brenda A. (5/5)

Best decaf I have tried

"The most flavorful cup of decaf I have ever tried. Deep and full bodied, a pleasure to drink in the evening. Will definitely order again"

Lyle W. (5/5)

Q&A

Of what origen are the beans? And roughly what percentage of each origen? If this is proprietary information, may we know which continent they are from?
Seriously Dark Decaf is a blend of South American coffee beans.
