"I'm hooked on FRC coffees, and very happy with my Airscape containers - I have 5, each holding a different coffee variety. They're well-built out of stainless steel (I think the kilo containers are galvanized); the Airscapes with the FRC logo are nicely painted, and the lids - both the air-purge lid and the upper lid - fit snugly. They look a lot nicer on the countertop than a bunch of coffee bags. And FRC sells them at a great price."

The 1 pound container is stainless steel. Why is the 2 pound container galvanized steel?

What are the actual dimensions of the canister. Looking at counter space.
I've measured it at a bit shy of 7 inches in diameter across the bottom (6.8 inches or 17 cm if you prefer) and 8 inches (20.5 cm) in height. The top/lid is slightly wider at 7.1 inches (18 cm).
How is the air exhausted from the container?
Great question! The Airscape container has two lids, The top lid has a tight-fitting seal but the second internal lid has a one-way valve that lets you force the air out of the container and then lock the seal - and the freshness.
Do you also sell, replacement lids for the storage containers? I ask because, as you know the lids will be the first to go. Also, cost if you do.
