Towering, ruthless, and theatrical, he was known to weave slow-burning fuses into his beard before battle, wreathing himself in smoke to terrify his enemies. He plundered ships from the Caribbean to the Carolinas and answered to no one. What history failed to record was his greatest treasure: a coffee blend so singular, so irreplaceable, that he kept it locked in the hold of the Queen Anne's Revenge and shared it with no one.
