Our Costa Rican coffee possesses an inherently intense flavor with peaks of bright acidity and depths of sweet honey and chocolate. The body of Costa Rican Tarrazu is considered medium, but this famous coffee region does not lack for flavor and in all produces an incredibly satisfying cup.

In a spectacular region of Costa Rica known as the "Land of the Saints", farmers work tirelessly to care for this beautiful Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee. The main suppliers of this Costa Rican coffee represent small micro mills and traditional coops, ensuring only the highest quality cherries are obtained for production of this authentic Tarrazu coffee.

During the growth, harvest and processing of these coffee beans, all coffee pickers and producers are supplied with insurance, medical services, housing and transportation to the farming facilities.

Ingredients: 100% Arabica coffee. OU Kosher certified. Produced in an SQF-certified, renewable energy-powered facility.

Are pesticides used in growing this coffee?

I have a Philips Carina Superautomatic Espresso Machine that requires a light or medium roast coffee that has limited oil. How oily are these beans of the spectrum compared to your light roast?
The Costa Rican Tarrazu is a true medium roast and normally has a dry finish on the roasted beans. You should bear in mind that an oily sheen can also be a factor of time - even light to medium roast beans can express oil in time particularly if improperly stored. This is why we recommend buying smaller amounts more often and storing in a cool, dry, dark environment.
