    Papua New Guinea Coffee


    I have been drinking this coffee for years. My Herbalist daughter explained the natural health benefits, which is of importance to me. Love the flavor of the beans and especially the smell of this coffee. The cost is also cheaper than buying it by the pound from local coffee stores.

    Interesting darker roast coffee with taste of the forest


    Never had Papua New Guinea coffee, so it was hard to pin down the new distinct flavor that carried through the fairly dark and rich roast - it is the taste/aroma of vegetation from the equatorial jungle floor ... - or at least that's what I imagine. I've brewed it a couple different ways and find this a rich and pretty satisfying coffee, but I'm not sure I'll grow to love the "green" side of it.

    So far I've tried about half of FRC's single origin selection. Papua is my favorite by a good margin. I've never had a cup of coffee as good as this bean produces.

    low acid, med. bold, earthy, nutty and maybe a wisp of milk chocolate. Smoother and less vegetal than other Sumatra types. A real pleasure. My only gripe is that I think it might be even better at a slightly darker level of roast.
