Costa Rica Tarrazu is grown in the rugged mountains of the "Land of Saints" in Southeastern Costa Rica. The location and altitute to which it is grown (1200 - 1700 meters) lend heavily to the intense flavor. Costa Rican coffees are prized for their high notes and their smooth body.

For years, I considered myself a coffee snob and went so far as to roast my own beans. Laziness brought me to the Keurig brewer, but when I roasted ,this was the bean I used. Finding it in a kcup was exciting. I'm happy with the flavor. Even though it is called "dark", it is more medium to my taste. I have tried other varieties and find them all smooth with no bitter aftertaste. This will be my source from now on...
