Our rich Peruvian decaf coffee is a naturally water processed decaf that is also USDA organic, Fair Trade Certified and Smithsonian migratory bird friendly.

Natural water decaffeination eliminates the need for artificial compounds or chemicals during caffeine extraction, while also helping to preserve the coffee's flavor, balance and body. This is truly a well-balanced and mildly acidic Peruvian decaf coffee that promotes economic and environmental sustainability. Not only is this coffee USDA Organic and Fair Trade Certified, but our SMBC certification ensures that our Peru decaf coffee is farmed and collected in a way that seeks to protect and preserve the natural habitat of bird species living in the area.

Cupping Notes: almond, sweet cream, chocolate

Fine Ground: At a fine grind, coffee should be soft to the touch – slightly finer than granulated sugar.

Espresso: Great espresso requires skill, patience and quality equipment. Without these things, and a proper grind, espresso can be thin and weak or over extracted and clog in the portafilter. The perfect grind is essential to reaching espresso nirvana; an intensely rich and creamy extraction with thick crema and well rounded flavor.
    Grind: Fine/Very Fine

Aeropress: The Aeropress is a quick and efficient way to make flavorful, rich coffee with low acidity and bitterness. With specially designed micro-filter technology the Aeropress consistently provides some of the best coffee in just under 20 seconds.
    Grind: Fine/Medium

Medium Ground: At a medium grind, coffee should be gritty like sand with no considerably large pieces.

Auto Drip Pot: The Auto Drip style coffee maker is an efficient and hassle-free way to make a fresh pot. With the correct grind and water to coffee ratio, it IS possible to get a great cup of coffee using this method.
    Grind: Medium

Chemex: The Chemex is an elegant brewing device that extracts only the purest, most flavorful coffee without any bitterness or sediment. Because of the incredible functionality and design, the Chemex, paired with Chemex Bonded Filters, create a pure coffee experience unlike any other.
    Grind: Medium/Coarse

Coarse Ground: At a coarse grind, coffee is separated into large fragments similar to grained kosher salt.

French Press: The French Press is a classic and easy way to prepare decadent and smooth coffee and can easily be converted to brew cold coffee. The coffee grounds and water are separated by a fine mesh plunger leaving only fresh brewed coffee after 5 short minutes.
    Grind: Coarse

Toddy Cold Brew: The Toddy Cold Brew system is a simple and consistent way to extract a delicious and low-acid brew. Oils and fatty acids that would normally settle into hot coffee are eliminated leaving you with a perfectly balanced and smooth cup of iced coffee.
    Grind: Coarse

    Very good. No bitter aftertaste.

    Peruvian Decaf

Excellent decaf. I do prefer Sumatra Decaf as my #1 favorite. Thank you for fast shipping!

We decided to make some lifestyle changes and cut back on our caffeine by 50% thus drinking one regular cup of coffee and one decaf cup. We tried this based on the reviews and because it was organic and water processed decaf. We can't say enough about how good it is! Because of the rich flavor that doesn't not disappoint we have decided to go 100% decaf with this stuff! Thank you!!!

    Peru vs. Monsoon vs. Sumatra

I believe there should be a much fuller description of the Peruvian decaf on the website. It is a very rich and rewarding product with a bleak description. We usually blend with regular and drink it straight as espresso. It is great as either. Not sure which of the three we will settle on yet. Your organic Peruvian is miles ahead of the store bought product of exactly the same description

Excellent Decaf coffee....full bodied flavor equal to full strength coffee....

I used to get what became my favorite coffee at the Brattleboro, VT food co-op. I since moved away and thought this Peruvian Decaf (water process) coffee from Fresh Roasted Coffee might be what I used to get. Well it's excellent....and it's organic which is the only type of coffee I want

to drink! I won't order it anywhere else....I am very particular about my coffee and this is decaf perfection :)
