    From the high altitudes of the picturesque Nord region of Haiti, this velvety bean captures the tranquility that coffee beans are meant to possess. It is an heirloom to an ancient Ethiopian coffee strain with a rich, sweet taste. Being the same plant varietal and grown in the same soil as Jamaican BlueMountain, Haitian Blue Coffee has a unique silkiness, creating a serene cupping experience.

    Cupping Notes: Plum, Sweet Tobacco, Cinnamon

    Fine Ground: At a fine grind, coffee should be soft to the touch – slightly finer than granulated sugar.

    Espresso: Great espresso requires skill, patience and quality equipment. Without these things, and a proper grind, espresso can be thin and weak or over extracted and clog in the portafilter. The perfect grind is essential to reaching espresso nirvana; an intensely rich and creamy extraction with thick crema and well rounded flavor.

    A smooth jolt


    Love this coffee for its subtle flavor and terrific morning jolt. Low acidity makes this a cup that you could drink at any time of the day. I will be adding this to my list of favorites which includes FRC's Dominican Peaberry and Panama Boquete which is currently not available but hopefully will return to the menu of single origin coffees soon.

    Excellent Coffee!


    Preparing and drinking this coffee is a delicious treat. The pleasure begins when the aroma rises from a newly opened bag. The first sip caresses the tongue with the delicious flavor notes of plum and cinnamon. Using a little raw honey is the perfect sweetener for this coffee. The delicious taste lasts from the first sip to the last.

    Nice but does not approach Jamaican blue mountain or other premium coffees


    Pretty well-balanced slightly acidic ... not a strong aroma and no real distinctive flavor notes, but still a very good all-round coffee.

    I used an Aeropress for my first cup, noting an immediate taste of tobacco. Smooth, lingering taste of tobacco. When consumed as an espresso, the flavors are more complex and bold with a hint of natural sweetness. I add a little sugar into my cappuccino, which makes the taste come alive even more. The complexity of cream and sugar draw out the subtle hints of vanilla and cinnamon. I have tasted many different types of coffee from here, and a cup of this makes you forget the rest.
