    Ethiopian Natural Sidamo Coffee

Ethiopian Natural Sidamo coffee exhibits gentle almond nuances with balanced acidity and medium body. The sweet, wine-like aroma of this coffee comes from the 'natural' sun-drying process. Ethiopian Sidamo coffee is grown in the Kaffa region of the Sidamo province of Ethiopia, where coffee was first discovered over a thousand years ago.

This Ethiopian Sidamo coffee is in the same family as Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

Fine Ground: At a fine grind, coffee should be soft to the touch – slightly finer than granulated sugar.

Espresso: Great espresso requires skill, patience and quality equipment. Without these things, and a proper grind, espresso can be thin and weak or over extracted and clog in the portafilter. The perfect grind is essential to reaching espresso nirvana; an intensely rich and creamy extraction with thick crema and well rounded flavor.
    Grind: Fine/Very Fine

Aeropress: The Aeropress is a quick and efficient way to make flavorful, rich coffee with low acidity and bitterness. With specially designed micro-filter technology the Aeropress consistently provides some of the best coffee in just under 20 seconds.
    Grind: Fine/Medium

Medium Ground: At a medium grind, coffee should be gritty like sand with no considerably large pieces.

Auto Drip Pot: The Auto Drip style coffee maker is an efficient and hassle-free way to make a fresh pot. With the correct grind and water to coffee ratio, it IS possible to get a great cup of coffee using this method.
    Grind: Medium

Chemex: The Chemex is an elegant brewing device that extracts only the purest, most flavorful coffee without any bitterness or sediment. Because of the incredible functionality and design, the Chemex, paired with Chemex Bonded Filters, create a pure coffee experience unlike any other.
    Grind: Medium/Coarse

Coarse Ground: At a coarse grind, coffee is separated into large fragments similar to grained kosher salt.

French Press: The French Press is a classic and easy way to prepare decadent and smooth coffee and can easily be converted to brew cold coffee. The coffee grounds and water are separated by a fine mesh plunger leaving only fresh brewed coffee after 5 short minutes.
    Grind: Coarse

Toddy Cold Brew: The Toddy Cold Brew system is a simple and consistent way to extract a delicious and low-acid brew. Oils and fatty acids that would normally settle into hot coffee are eliminated leaving you with a perfectly balanced and smooth cup of iced coffee.

Excellent dark roast from a guy who likes lighter roasts

    Rating:
    Pros:
    Cons:

I generally stay away from Starbucks and Peets because the dark burnt bean flavour is monotonous. But from the Ethiopian I get a rich mineral earthy sort of black soil taste in the background along with chocolately notes and good body/acidity - nothing I'd call bitter at all. Great with cream or without.. I should probably give it 5 starts but I haven't tried all the company's beans yet.

    Amazing breakfast coffee

    Cons:

Lighter in body but bursting with blueberry and cherry notes with a wine-like acidity. I tend toward Sumatra so the way I loved this one really surprised me. A definite reorder.

While lacking in full body/flavor, this Ethiopian coffee was excellent quality for the price.

    Cons:

After asking around I found that by grinding this coffee more coarsely than I was used to, and use a lower ratio of coffee to water, I was able to get much better results. The latest brew was WAY better, and I actually was able to detect fruity notes as the coffee cooled. I actually find this a very good coffee now. Please disregard my previous review. I will re order this, definitely!

    Darker than anticipated

    Rating:
    Pros:
    Cons:

While this was purported to be a light roast, it's more of a full city roast, a medium to medium/dark. There is an earthiness to it, but despite sipping it both hot and cooled, I detected no blueberry notes as I usually do with any Ethiopian. I may have just received a bad batch, so I can only talk about my first delivery. Brewed in Chemex at medium grind, 57g/liter, which normally gives great results for me.
