    Dark Nebula

Dark Nebula is a full bodied espresso blend with hints of dark chocolate, a bold body, medium roast and a smooth finish.

Fresh Roasted Coffee has been nearly everywhere - we've crisscrossed the globe in search of the most fantastic and exotic coffees known to man, we've climbed the highest mountains, sailed the deadliest seas and just when you think our resume is filled with otherworldly beans and locations we literally found another world - the deep, dark reaches of space. Dark Nebulae are the densest type of interstellar clouds that completely obscure light from background stars. The formation of these swirling, serpentine masses is unusual, their boundaries indefinite in the universe. Our Dark Nebula blend is just that, black, mysterious and easily envelopes its lesser blends. Not even the brightest star, or best competitive brand for that matter, can compete with the massive, eclipsing taste that is Dark Nebula.

    • Cupping Notes: milk chocolate, peanut brittle, smooth
    • Roast Body: Bold
    • Roast Level: Medium
    • Artisan Blend: An exclusive blend of our signature single origin coffees

Fine Ground: At a fine grind, coffee should be soft to the touch – slightly finer than granulated sugar.

Espresso: Great espresso requires skill, patience and quality equipment. Without these things, and a proper grind, espresso can be thin and weak or over extracted and clog in the portafilter. The perfect grind is essential to reaching espresso nirvana; an intensely rich and creamy extraction with thick crema and well rounded flavor.
    Grind: Fine/Very Fine

Aeropress: The Aeropress is a quick and efficient way to make flavorful, rich coffee with low acidity and bitterness. With specially designed micro-filter technology the Aeropress consistently provides some of the best coffee in just under 20 seconds.
    Grind: Fine/Medium

Medium Ground: At a medium grind, coffee should be gritty like sand with no considerably large pieces.

Auto Drip Pot: The Auto Drip style coffee maker is an efficient and hassle-free way to make a fresh pot. With the correct grind and water to coffee ratio, it IS possible to get a great cup of coffee using this method.
    Grind: Medium

Chemex: The Chemex is an elegant brewing device that extracts only the purest, most flavorful coffee without any bitterness or sediment. Because of the incredible functionality and design, the Chemex, paired with Chemex Bonded Filters, create a pure coffee experience unlike any other.
    Grind: Medium/Coarse

Coarse Ground: At a coarse grind, coffee is separated into large fragments similar to grained kosher salt.

French Press: The French Press is a classic and easy way to prepare decadent and smooth coffee and can easily be converted to brew cold coffee. The coffee grounds and water are separated by a fine mesh plunger leaving only fresh brewed coffee after 5 short minutes.
    Grind: Coarse

Toddy Cold Brew: The Toddy Cold Brew system is a simple and consistent way to extract a delicious and low-acid brew. Oils and fatty acids that would normally settle into hot coffee are eliminated leaving you with a perfectly balanced and smooth cup of iced coffee.
    Grind: Coarse

    More than I expected

This blend is perfect for my french press. I couldn't believe how smooth it is, and the aftertaste just leaves me ready for another sip. It reminds me of coffee we used to get in those little cafes that stayed open late. I drink mine black, but I see how someone could put whatever they like in it and be happy.

I'm truly impressed with this coffee. Out of the 5 bags I got on my first go this was the winner!

Peanut brittle notes are magic. Really smooth. Even my picky mother enjoyed it.

    Great taste!

We use this in our regular drip maker and the flavor is superb. No bitterness or after taste just amazing, great tasting coffee. This is the 10th different variety we have purchased and have enjoyed each one for its unique characteristics, but this is our new favorite. (for now)

This has rich bold body that works better brewed a bit weaker. When I first tasted it I loved the body, chocolate flavor, and thick crema. After 2 weeks this coffee develops a sour, heavy, unpleasant flavor. I drink espresso black made in Jura fully automatic on fine grind setting.
